Joe Dumars


A pillar of sportsmanship and one of the NBA’s all-time greatest defensive players, Joe Dumars played his entire hall of fame career with the Detroit Pistons spanning 14 seasons. He then served as President of Basketball Operations overseeing one of the team’s most successful periods and assembled an NBA World Champion squad in 2004. In September 2009, The Sporting News awarded Joe with the esteemed title of the NBA’s Executive of the Decade. To highlight Joe’s good nature, even the NBA named its annual Sportsmanship Award after him as the “Joe Dumars Trophy”.
